SMARD Final Conference as part of Heidelberg Innovation Forum

The consortium presents strategic results of the SMARD project followed by a pitching event with presentations of researchers, entrepreneurs and start-ups from all over Europe.

SMARD Results to be presented on the Conference "Industry 4.0 - SMEs as driver of technology and innovation", Göppingen

On 27 March 2013, the SMARD project manager Alexandra Rudl will present the outcomes of the SMARD project on the regional conference "Industry 4.0 - SMEs as driver of technology and innovation". The speech "From idea to innovation" will give an overview of the services and tools developed within the SMARD project supporting technology transfer and the exploitation of research outcomes.

Visit our Final Conference in Heidelberg, Germany!

The SMARD final conference focusing on tech-transfer and commercialization will take place on 20th of March 2013. It will be held together with the Heidelberg Innovation Forum in Germany. The agenda of the conference can be found here.

The Heidelberg Innovation Forum is is a successfull matchmaking format which connects researchers and start-ups with investors and companies since 2005. The next Forum, taking place on 19/20 March 2013, is focusing on the topic "The Mobile Ecosystem".

Business ideas that respond to the increasing mobility of individuals and enterprises harnessing the potential of mobile technologies can still be submitted till 18 January 2013. Further information can be found here.

SMARD Workshop at NEM Summit: Towards better exploitation of EU R&D results in the Digital Media Sector

On 16 October 2012, the SMARD consortium partners organised the "Interactive workshop on Networked Media R&D commercialisation” at the NEM Summit in Istanbul (Turkey). The workshop covered two core aspects of the SMARD project, being the R&D needs of European SMEs and the commercialisation and technology transfer best practices and hurdles for European research projects. The workshop had a diverse audience of over 35 people from over 10 different European countries with different backgrounds: researchers, SMEs, larger companies, investors, representatives of the European Commission and other stakeholders in the R&D and commercialisation process. 

Most participants from the research side acknowledged the need for more efforts on commercialisation and tech transfer while the policy representatives also recognised their role the story. You can find the complete workshop report here.
